Some of these activities are illegal, so if you suspect drug activity, criminal damage or any other illegal act you should contact the police immediately and then inform the Association. We have carried out work to update our procedures about dealing with anti social behaviour. We try to prevent problems occurring in the first place, but when they do we will record all complaints and try to resolve problems swiftly. If you call us with a complaint about anti social behaviour we will log the complaint on our system, reply to your letter, phonecall or visit, within an agreed time and keep in touch with updated information. If we receive a complaint about your behaviour, or the behaviour of someone else at your home, we will contact you as soon as possible to talk it through. It is often better to talk face to face about these things, but on occasion we might phone or write to you. Complaints vary enormously, and no two complaints are ever the same. Some complaints may be resolved straight away others may take longer. As we mentioned before, if a neighbour is disturbing you you should approach him or her to explain the situation and come to an agreement. If this doesn’t work you can contact the Association to see if we can help. Quite often disputes between neighbours start over something small such as a clash of lifestyle. It is difficult for us to get involved, and there will be times when you are the best person to sort out a problem. |
