Welcome to Rhondda Housing Association

We are a not for profit organisation run by a voluntary Management Board. The role of the Association can be best described in our mission statement below:

'Provide high quality sustainable housing, support and regeneration solutions with the people and communities of Rhondda Cynon Taf, by encouraging innovation and valuing the contribution of staff and tenants'

Rhondda Housing Association has been providing housing in the area for 25 years now and have invested over £60 million in housing in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area during that time - we are continuing to invest nearly £3 million a year.

When we started 25 years ago we were based in a small converted house in Tylorstown - now as we continue to expand and grow we have a purpose built office in Dunraven Street, Tonypandy. This allows us to be accessible to our tenants who occupy over 1400 properties throughout the Rhondda and Taff Ely areas.

Rhondda Housing Association is a community based, tenant focused Association that only works in Rhondda Cynon Taf – this makes us different from most other housing associations. A large proportion of our staff are local people and we have a policy to use local contractors wherever possible. We therefore have a vested interest in the success of the area and in the communities in which we work.

The Association is divided into the following departments – Housing Services, Maintenance, Supported Housing, Finance & IT, Corporate Services and Community Development. We also support 'Cwmni', the Communities First partnership in Treherbert. You will be able to read more about some of these departments inside this document.
